Out of all the stories and episodes presented by the famous television show Tales from the Crypt "And All Through the House" may easily be the most popular--or at least the most well remembered.
When this episode aired Tales from the Crypt was still a green show, still trying to get its footing. With the airing of "And All Through the House" the show really hit its audience with all it was worth.
"And All Through the House" focuses mainly on an unhappy house wife who is ready to end her marriage. When she has finally had enough she finally snaps and murders her dear husband.
At first she is satisfied with herself, feeling a freedom from her possessive husband. But when a radio announcement states that a killer dressed as Santa is on the lose in the area she begins to become afraid. Noises outside make her believe the killer is nearby. But the sickest twist of all is that she can't call the police since she has a dead body in her house.
It becomes a fight for her life as she struggles to find a way to dispose of the body while still protecting her house from the killer. If she can just get rid of the body she can then call the police for help before the killer gets to her and chops off her head with an axe.

I have a warm spot in my heart for holiday style horror and believe it is suitable for any time of the year. This episode of Tales from the Crypt is no exception.
This story was filmed once before in the 1972 British horror film Tales from the Crypt. While the original adaption was good this one captures the true mood of EC's horror comics in a more appropriate manner.
It still has the gore and the scares but adds in more of the colorful comic style through black humor and tongue in cheek jokes. In many ways this far surpasses the first episode of the series and shows what Tales from the Crypt truly has in store. All the actor's are perfect and the horror is spot on.

Summing it Up
This episode, for being so early in the show's running, sure packs a wallop. From the demented grin on the Santa's face to the piercing screams of the woman this episode is all chills and 100% grade A Tales from the Crypt. It mixes the realistic pain of the Christmas season with the dark humor of comic style horror. If you're a fan of 80s slasher style horror or of 1950s horror comics you're going to enjoy this episode.
