It is here! The trailer for the remake of Poltergeist is now live online. So how does it look? Will it live up to its predecessor? The new trailer has some fairly good acting and some fun looking special effects. It also looks fairly similar or true to the original film, but it also has similar vibes to films such as Insidious. But for me, the new trailer just doesn't invoke the chills the same way that the original film's trailer does. And part of the charm, in my opinion, of the original film was its 1980s technology and how it played into the film. It will be interesting to see new technology and new cultural elements as they appear in the remake. So what do you think? Does this look like it could live up to the original, or is it too close to modern horror films like Paranormal Activity and Insidious? Compare both trailers below and decide for yourself! If you grew up in the 90s, like me, you probably remember those crazy commercials that came on during Saturday morning cartoons and after school. They were colorful, crazy, and often just plain weird. Well, YouTube channel RocketJump has posted a video that parodies these crazy 90s style commercials while also throwing in a bit of 80s/90s horror flavor. Personally, it makes me think of movies such as The Thing, Terror Vision, and From Beyond. Check it out below. The second video in our new Terror Video Series is now live. This week we take a look at the 40th Anniversary Edition of Texas Chain Saw Massacre. |
