WitchWorks is a pulp horror magazine fashioned after the style of pulp magazines and horror comics that were popular during the 1940s and 1950s. Be aware, they don't specialize in high class literary horror and don't strive to. Our focus is on entertaining and macabre tales with a twist. They are looking for pulp style stories and art that capture the gritty atmosphere and dark humor of the golden age of fiction and comics.
WitchWorks is a print-on-demand magazine. It caters to a specific niche audience and wants to do the best to please them. The print-on-demand style allows us them reach more readers and fans of pulp style fiction while keeping production costs at a minimum.
They also will have electronic copies of each issue of the magazine through the Amazon Kindle store. In the spirit of true pulp fiction style the Kindle version of the magazine will ONLY COST 99 CENTS per issue.
WitchWorks will be a bi-monthly publication with issues coming out in February, April, June, August, October, and December. The very first issue will be available sometime in February 2015.
WitchWorks is currently seeking talented horror writers and artists for the February issue. New and unpublished authors are highly encouraged to submit. They are looking for stories in the classical pulp horror style. For more information visit their Submissions page.
