I've always been a big fan of 80s style horror. One movie that I loved growing up was a little film called Teen Wolf. Now, I'm not talking about the modernized TV show. (I've never seen it.) I'm talking about the true blue 1985 film with Michael J. Fox! It was a great movie and had lots of cheesy goodness to spread around. Now, CineCoup is producing a film in a similar vein that I am very excited to see and review right here on A Slice of Horror! (Unfotunetly I don't live in Canada so it will have to wait a little while.) The film is called Wolfcop! The wolf this time around is not a teenager but a small town cop! It looks to be a fun and ruckus type film with all types of crazy violence, horror, and comedy all mixed into some crazy full moon brew! While Michael J. Fox's film was "for families" Wolfcop looks to be very much for adults. And as a fan of the 1980s style horror comedy I openly welcome that formula. Today's modern cinema is so full of trite plot lines and rehashed remakes that I am happy to see indie films like this getting some attention. It gives me hope that maybe one day I can get one of my screenplays made into a film!
