In order to seek out new talent Sky Blue Films is holding a screenwriting competition. The only requirement for the specific script itself is that the genre must be horror.
Screenwriters who are interested in competing are invited to submit their screenplay, complete synopsis, and a treatment to [email protected]. The screenplay must be written in English and can not be currently optioned to another production company or agent.
The person selected as the winner for the competition will receive the grand prize of £1,000. Additionally, the winner will be offered the option to work with Sky Blue Films as the script is produced and filmed into a full length feature film. The writer will also receive financial stake in the production.
Co-founder and director at Sky Blue Films Same Mintz says this of the competition: "We are delighted to be launching this competition and I can't wait to see what people submit. For years I have read amazing e-books, self published by otherwise unknown authors, so I know the talent is out there."
So if you think you have what it takes to be a horror screen writer then submit your script to Sky Blue Films before May 31st. See the full competitions rules at Sky Blue Film's website.
