It is obvious when watching the third installment of this quaint little series that the third movie had a slightly bigger budget than the previous two films. Puppet Master 3 is set in 1941 Berlin; therefore, much of the films money needed to go towards creating a time period feel. There is old cars, old buildings, and of course, German accents. These are all fun little additives to the film. Additionally, we get to see the origins of a few of the Puppets that we've already come to enjoy through the first two films. It helps us to like and connect with those puppets even more. My particular favorite was seeing Leech Girl come to life and make her first killings.
I thought some of the actors were rather good for a B horror film. I particularly enjoyed Andre Tulon as well as the main villain. He was a man in a dark trench coat and hat and was very stereotypical German.
